Pierluigi Lugano of Bisson chooses to call it Glera, the traditional name for the grape, since its unusual ecology-conscious crown-cap closure makes it ineligible for the superior-terroir Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG status. Older vines on steep-sloped vineyards make for more mineral qualities and refined fruit than one usually finds in Prosecco. This is one of the driest Proseccos on the market.
