Basil Hayden's is part of the Beam Small Batch Collection along with Knob Creek, Baker's, and Booker's. This bourbon is created with a high rye bourbon mash bill and bottled at 80 proof, the lowest of the Collection. Aged in newly charred American oak barrels to create a light amber color. Flavor reflects the high rye content and is very peppery with hints of brown sugar and honeysuckle. The finish is very quick and smooth with a warmth of honey. A great choice for sipping or in cocktails.
